DCLP - April's plan

Well, April is here and I've uploaded this months action plan and latest version of the project overview.  The action plan doesn't seem to have a lot to it at first glance, just complete a draft of the action mapping template and distribute it for comment to relevant users.  My targets will be some of the content writers, with the aim of gauging how a change in writing style will be received and if they see the benefit of not only the template but the action mapping process.  I think an explanation of the process should go along with the template to give an overview of the benefits of this style of e-learning.

Even though it's not on the action plan I am still doing some research/literature review/writing on the learning theories behind the templates. While this information may not be distributed with the template it will be valuable to the DCLP program and will demonstrate that what I am creating is based on sound pedagogical theories rather than just a collection of random ideas and internet searches.

On a side note I'd like to add how great the my.tafe space that Colleen has created for the program looks.  It has some great integration of social media style sites and looks fantastic especially considering we normally think of the my.tafe pages as a bit crippled.  If you haven't seen it lately log in and check it out.

  1. Hi David just when you thought there was no pressure I have thrown in the commun ity team project for group members:( Thanks for also posting about the my.TAFE site. I guess what I should try and stress with people is that once you have a template and some basic training and set up of my.TAFE functionlaity this type of site can be easily managed by a teacher. The major issues is that we don't always have the time and the will to get to the point where this can be a devolved responsibility to teachers. Plus there are some adminstrators who are a little risk averse around spending time to develop this capability in Leading VET practitioners (food for thought!)
