1 Week left of Month 1

Getting close to the end of the first month of DCLP program and I am starting to flesh out the project information document which will become the final report and product from the program.  Parts might then be taken from it and added to the existing content writers guide.  I am going to upload the new version when at work on Monday. I've included a PDF of the existing resource (only 1 chapter of course so that I comply with copyright law) of a unit I will redevelop and the file size has blown out the 8mb.

One major change is that I have been previously calling by work action learning, when in fact the focus is around action mapping. I found that out when I started by research/readings.

I've got a more defined structure to the format of the information I am collecting and developing.  Below is a copy of the table of contents so far.

Background Information.
Justification for Development.
Research and Literature Review
Action Mapping..
Implementation of the action mapping process.
Step 1: Setting the goal
Step 2: Identify Behaviours.
Step 3: Brainstorm Practice Activities.
Step 4: Identify necessary info.
Example 1 – Use Business Technology.
Example 2 – Contribute to OHS Processes.
Appendix 1 – Original Use Business Technology Content.
Study Guide.
Chapter 1 of Learner Guide
Appendix 2 – Original OHS Resource

My primary aim of completing the research and literature review by the end of March is very close to on track. Today I researched and wrote from home after trying unsuccessfully to do so at work earlier in the week. Too many distractions when I'm in the office.

  1. Thanks David it is good to get an update and hear that things are ticking over okay. I also like the fact that you document the action mapping term. It would be useful for us all if a hyperlink to some readings that we can all check out related to action mapping might be good to include here. Are you able to edit this post or at least point us in the direction of the links you discovered via your delicious account? Regards Colleen
