Where did April go?

Wow, where did April go, must've been the long weekend break  in the middle that helped it along.  I had to upload a version 2 of my April to do list, adding in the group project challenge.  This post is a bit of a summary of the results of the April action plan.

The latest revisions of the project document include:
 - Forming research questions as part of the report justification. Using questions will allow even further refinement of the content of the final report
 - Continuing reading and literature review on instructional events. Finding/forumlating series of instructional events that is suitable for our online learning
- Created an example of action mapping using 2 elements of a unit of competency
- Added a draft of the action/event template

I also created a 5 question survey for content writers and other stakeholders to give feedback. Hoping to get more responses this way, and more quantitive info relating to the template and the aims of the project.

Outside of our personal research projects we have been assigned a group learning challenge. Our team us made a small, partial start, but hopefully with the web conference today we'll make a bit more progress.

I've started to expand my reading of learning technologies and theories by making use of google scholar and a number of pdf'ed ebooks especially when I propose an idea or make a seemingly broad statement in the project document. Still have my regular twitter/reader feeds, but published (rather than posted) info that can be referenced seems so much more convincing.

Next month I hope to do something with the survey results, complete a new version of the template, continue working on the examples, complete the group challenge and attend the Brisbane workshop.

I'm sure May will fly by just like last month....
